Mamma’s Command Center

Ahhhhh….. back to school time.

Time to clean and organize your command centers.

Command B-A

The command center was one of the selling features of the house.  I was instantly hooked!

It took 40 hours… and I painted ALL of the cabinets in the kitchen (shown here are just a few – there were a lot more!).  More on that in a future post.  I like the creamy color with the bronze pulls much better.

Very minimal staging… I wanted you to see a real life command center!

This is my Inbox.  Used by all… and rather than piles accumulating, it’s where we put anything coming into the house… bills, magazines, mail, papers, etc.

For envelopes, bills, mail, etc.

My work station:

And of course the all ever important….

I did a little DIY to touch up the space (Click on picture for the post):

There is still some work that needs to be completed, including:

Hope you enjoyed the transformation!

Before I leave you… Maryann from Domestically Speaking (do they make them any sweeter or more talented than Maryann???) posted a wonderful round up of Family Command Centers.  Mine pales in comparison so be sure to check them out (and pin to the original source).

Love, hugs, and staying organized.  Mostly.

It’s amazing how, painting the cupboards white has lightened the room. You can instantly see that in the after photo. The work surface looks so much nicer too. You should be proud of all your hard work.
    Have a lovely week.

Lovely! It’s amazing how much brighter and lighter a simple coat of paint can make a room. And I chuckled at your wine rack located with your command center. Appropriately located, some how. Thanks for sharing at Inspire Us Thursday on Organized 31.

Hi Susan – Requirement #1 for any Mamma’s Command Center LOL. Hugs, Holly

  9. Patty at Home and Lifestyle Design

Hey! I found your post through “Our Home Away From Home,” as you were featured there, and somehow so was I, which I am very pleased about. Your transformation is amazing. I wish I had all of that space. My post was on, “my new office space,” which is so….. much smaller than yours. I love that your painted the cabinetry, it lightens up the whole space and makes it look new and fresh. You have so many ways to stay organized and you even have the wine handy! LOL!
Thanks, Patty at Home and Lifestyle Design
