Grandma’s Lamb Chops

Thank you for sharing!

Stepson’s birthday dinner request #2 was Grandma’s Lamb Chops.  We had his favorite Steamed Shrimp AND Grandma’s Lamp Chops for the main course, AND his favorite Chocolate Molten Lava Cake for dessert.  In one night.  Yep.

To celebrate birthday #11, Stepson also wanted Grandma’s Lamb Chops.  He LOOOOVES Grandma’s cooking and even though it’s not quite the same when I make it, he doesn’t complain!  These Lamb Chops are all about the marinade when the flavors come together.  I like to marinade the lamb for about two hours.

I make these either in a skillet or on the stove-top grill when it’s too cold to grill for real outside.  I served these on a bed of couscous.  Another favorite of the boys.

Don’t these look delicious!  Yep, he’s a pretty special kid.  All teasing aside, I really did enjoy giving him a very special birthday dinner… regardless of how many meals it was!

Since we are so close to Easter, wouldn’t these be a wonderful treat for Easter lunch?

And in case you missed it in the previous post, here’s Stepson blowing out his birthday candle on top of his favorite Chocolate Molten Lava Cake.

As soon as Stepson’s birthday is over, we celebrate Hubby’s birthday.

Love, hugs and making ANOTHER birthday dinner..

I’m blown away by your stepson’s sophisticated palette. I have never had nor made lamb chops. The pictures have me drooling though so I sense a new dining experience in my near future.

Hi Corinne – I know, right? He’s had a man-sized appetite forever. He turns his nose up at traditional kid food, but put a plate of calamari or sushi in front of him and down the hatch it goes! Hugs, Holly

Holly, I’m sitting here craving lamb chops with no lamb chops in the house. I’m on your way to your house right now!

I have never cooked lamb, but this recipe could be the one that gets me to try it. I really enjoy meats that have been marinated for a long time. It really brings out the flavor. Thanks for sharing at the In and Out of the Kitchen party.
