Freedom Drops

Thank you for sharing!

While this recipe certainly isn’t unique, I love the red, white, and blue take on these Freedom Drops.

The ingredients are simple – pretzels, melts and M&M’s.  Be patriotic for Memorial Day or the 4th of July.  The Commissary didn’t have the holiday M&M’s yet, so I had to go rogue and separate the colors.

Place the pretzels and melts on a baking sheet and heat in an oven at 350 degrees for 3 minutes.  Remove and immediately and gently place an M&M on top of each melt.  Let cool and enjoy at your summer gathering!

Have you been to the Patriot’s Palooza party yet?  It’s a lot of fun you have to swing by!

Forgive me for not knowing but what are “melts”? Thanks, these are great treats to make.

    1. Holly

Hi Julia – They are little disc type candies that come in all different colors. Wilton sells them, and you can get them at places like Michaels, HobLob and other craft shops. You can also use Hershey Kisses instead of the melts. Thanks for stopping by! Hugs, Holly
